Golfing at Kananaskis
I had an opportunity to go golfing in Kananaskis on the weekend and I jumped at it. Kananaskis is a beautiful provincial park on the Eastern Slopes of the Rockies and the golf course is nestled in the valley.
It is an amazing location with all kinds of opportunities to see wildlife. And the golf course is pretty great too…We played the Mount Lorette course which has water on most of the holes. The water honestly didn’t come into play very often for me, but I didn’t play particularly well either. This was pretty much expected as it was my first game of the year. The front nine was pretty disastrous but I started to pull it together on the back, and even managed to get 2 birdies. The first was an honest tee to green good effort while the second was a lucky chip on a par-3. I ‘ll take it though!
We saw a deer on the 18th tee box and then found a couple of Bighorn Sheep on the drive back. We pulled over for some photos of some very willing subjects!
