Melanie’s First Soccer Game
Melanie has been very excited all through the winter about playing soccer. She has been running as fast as she can and biking hard so that she can be a good soccer player. So the day finally came for her first soccer game and she was very happy. She got her own soccer pads and a new ball! I am the head coach for the team which I think also makes her pretty happy… she called me coach all through the game!
Each soccer night is actually made up of a 15 minute practice / warm-up, followed by a game with two 20 minute halves (separated by a snack break of course). Coach Dad worked them pretty hard in practice and by the end of the first half their was some serious tail dragging going on! Everybody had lots of fun and the parents on the sidelines giggled all though the game.
One little girl on Melanie’s team was more interested in picking grass than playing soccer… unless coach Sean was holding her hand running with her around the field!
