We’ve been having a very strange “winter” this year and so far it feels more like spring. We took a lovely walk through Carburn Park today and stopped for awhile to play at the playground.

It was a beautiful spring day and we took advantage of it by going to Carburn Park. The kids rode their bikes while Louise and I walked. There were lots and lots of people out and we saw all kinds of spring activity (an Eagle, an Osprey, and a flight of 18 American White Pelicans [...]

The kids finally git a chance to ride their bikes the other day. First time this year! They had lots of fun cycling around the block and through the alley with their friends, and they mostly managed to avoid the snow that’s still piled up everywhere!

The kids were out in the Alley behind our house on the weekend enjoying a very springlike day. There’s still a bit of snow on the ground int he alley but that just makes riding through it a little bit more fun.

We had an extremely cold start to our winter in Calgary this year, but after about a month of that winter pretty much went away and the last few weeks have been unseasonably warm. The snow is almost all gone now and the kids are starting to get back into their routine from last summer [...]
