On one of the few weekends that we've actually stayed at home this summer, and had no major plans or visitors, we just kinda hung out doing nothing. The kids played in the backyard and in the alley with their friends and Louise and I got some gardening done. It was really nice.(click on the images to see them larger)

We went camping (in Banff) and sleep was pretty hard to come by on the first night. Both of the kids were very excited abotu the whole event and they just wanted to keep taking it all in. Andrew wasn't even close to being ready to go down until very late that night, and he really needed some snuggles by the campfire before he would consider going to bed. I really liked the way the glowing light of the fire warmed up the whole scene and gave Louise and Andrew a surreal glow...(click here to see the images larger)

Grandma and Grandpa Phillips came to town for a visit so we took a trip down to Pearce Estate Park to see the Pelicans at the weir (click here to see some pictures of the Pelicans). The kids are always happy to go to any park in the city, as long as it has a playground... So while my Mom and Dad and I enjoyed pelicans, Louise took the kids over to play. They had a great time and we got back in time to watch and enjoy the fun too...(click the images to see them larger)
