Teddy Bear Toss

We took the kids to the annual Calgary Hitmen Teddy Bear Toss last weekend. In case you don't know what this is, it was a WHL Junior hockey league game between the Calgary Hitmen and the Kootenay Ice that was also the annual Teddy Bear Toss, in which the fans throw teddy bears and other stuffed animals onto the ice after the first Hitmen goal. The collected toys were to be given to needy children through the Salvation Army and other charities. Skiing at Nakiska

Louise, Melanie, and I went skiing with Melanie's Grandpa at Nakiska today. How many kids get to ski with their grandfathers? We are amazed and excited every time we get them together on the ski hill. It was another one of those glorious blue sky days in the mountains today, and a great time was had by all!It's video week at the blog, so here' another one for your enjoyment. Merry Christmas

It was a roaring success at our house today, and a bit of a whirlwind too. We were up way too early, ate way too much, and got way too many presents.
