The three cousins (Melanie, Andrew, and Sophie) had a great time playing in the snow in the backyard at Grandma and Opa's house in Ottawa!
We were at Grandma's house for thanksgiving and my Sean's brother Roger and his family came to visit as well. Melanie was excited as soon as we told her that her cousin Jackson would be there. They have been nearly inseparable since we arrived and it's been lots of fun to be here together. One highlight of the trip is when Grandma brought out pumpkins for the three cousins to carve for Halloween!
We went to an official Stampede Caravan Pancake Breakfast with Grandma and Grandpa Phillips. Real flapjacks with real blueberries! Yumm. The Stampede Caravan travels all over the city, hitting two locations every day for pancake breakfasts. Thousands of people line up to get their fix. It's crazy, and very delicious!
We had some friends over for dinner on Saturday to help us celebrate Andrew's Third Birthday (coming up on April 27th). It was a small party but we also had Grandma and Opa Knobel staying with us. Andrew decided a long time ago that he wanted a Spiderman party which of course required a Spiderman Cake, which Louise made herself. The cake required liberal application of some very colorful icing (and matching language). It was a great cake but Andrew never really understood that it was a representation of Spiderman. Oh well, much fun was had by all!
We are in Kelowna for a visit with the Grandparents. Grandma had everything required for Melanie and Andrew to decorate some beautiful Easter Eggs. They had lots of fun and of course Andrew hammed it up while they were doing it...
