I took the kids for a trip to Carburn Park to enjoy the unseasonably warm weather (29 °C in calgary at the end of September) and the beautiful golden yellow leaves. The fall colors are always spectacular at Carburn Park and it's one of my favorite places in Calgary to go to enjoy it! We camped with some friends at the Little Elbow Equestrian Campground in the Elbow Valley. It was a fantastic weekend with plenty of activity, and some relaxation and great food too. Highlights included hiking the Nihahi Ridge Trail, visiting Forget-Me-Not Pond, and barbecuing some great steaks over an open fire.

Melanie was very excited to go back to school today. She had a great summer vacation, but she loves school and she is excited to see her old friends and meet her new teacher. This is a traditional photo on the first day of school and we have one from every year so far!
