Skiing Lessons at COP
We signed Melanie up for skiing lessons at Canada Olympic Park. She’s in the same class as her friend Ryan and they are both really enjoying it! Melanie has always been Danger Girl and so going fast downhill on skis is right up her alley…They have an amazing setup for skiing lessons at COP, with several different bunny runs each of which has a different gradient and also a moving sidewalk (or magic carpet) to take the students up the hill. This is way better than when I learned using a rope tow or a T-bar. I went through lots of pairs of mittens from trying to hold onto the rope, and trying to balance on a T-bar when you are a new skier is nearly impossible! This is rather civilized by comparison.
Melanie and Ryan are both doing very well in their lessons and Melanie keeps asking when she can go on the big hill! They pretty much stay ont eh same run every week, but hopefully one day soon I will be able take her with me and we can try a few of the other runs at COP. Next stop, Lake Louise!
