We were all hanging out in the backyard at the Knobel's house in Ottawa and Mike and baby Zoe were lying on the grass. I went down to take a few pictures of them together. Of course that led to Melanie and Andrew wanting in on the action so we did a few more with them too. Zoe has plenty of smiles to share!
I've showed many pictures in the past of our trips to the zoo. I actually have a great many more pictures than I've actually shown here because we go so often, but I don't post images from every trip because they often tend to look alike. But now that Andrew is growing up, it's starting to be a different adventure every time we go. Here are a few from the weekend near the Spider Monkey exhibit. Melanie started to hang on the railing like a monkey and Andrew had to get in on it too!
On the first afternoon that we were in Kelowna we took all the kids for a walk up the hill to the local playground. The kids had fun playing on the slides and the monkey bars. Andrew discovered that he really likes curly slides, and he also figured out how to go down a slide sitting upright!
We were fortunate to be able to take a summer vacation in late August this year and we took the opportunity to take a drive through Western Canada to see my sister Heidi and her family in 100 Mile House, BC. Yes, it's actually called that, and it was named because it was located 100 Miles from Lillooet, BC, which was Mile 0 of the Cariboo Wagon Road.
