Yellowstone Vacation — Hayden Valley Bison

We were so impressed and excited about seeing all the Bison in Hayden Valley that we decided to go back again for a second day. The lighting and the fog weren't quite as impressive, but it was still pretty amazing to see all those animals in such close proximity to each other. It was a bit of an afterthought, but Louise pulled out her video camera just as we were driving away...

Yellowstone Vacation — Hayden Valley and Old Faithful

This is another really long post, so feel free to jump straight to the bottom to see the photos. But don't forget to come back later to read the story! Waterton is an incredibly windy place and the wind howled all night the first night and most of the second day too. We didn't let that get to us though and we went out and enjoyed the park anyway! We checked out downtown Waterton in the morning and had lunch at the lake shore with a nice view of the Prince of Wales hotel on the hill across the lake. Waterton is a cute little town (population 70 in the winter) with several nice hotels and inns. The Prince of Wales is very old and castle-like, and since it was up on the hill you can see … Continue Reading ››
