Boys Camping Weekend in Banff

Boys weekend. The girls went to Guide camp in Banff so Andrew and I were on our own. It was the first time that we've gone camping with just the two of us, and it was Pepper's first camping trip too. We actually ended up in the same campground as the girls, but Andrew didn't know it and we never saw them. There are really very few choices in the mountain parks for campgrounds that are open so early in the year. Camping at Glacier National Park

Here is a slideshow and a bunch of images from a camping trip we took with friends last summer to Glacier National Park in Montana. We stayed at the Many Glacier Campground and explored Swiftcurrent Lake and the Many Glacier area, as well as a day trip along the Eastern side of the Going-to-the-Sun Road. It was a great trip and we saw lots of beautiful places and lots of Grizzly Bears. So much fun!

Moonset at Sunrise

One day way back in the spring I took the kids for an early morning drive to watch the setting of the moon at sunrise. I often have bad luck when setting out for this kind of a trip but on this day we were treated to a glorious pink sunrise.
